Tales of Enchantment, The Seeker and the Search

The Tales of Enchantment, The Seeker and the Search is a limited-edition folio by the artist Elana Gutmann comprised of seven archival pigment prints, numbered and signed by the artist, with accompanying texts by authors Mahmood Farooqui of India, Patrick Okorokoff of France and Walter Bargen of the American Midwest.

Each text employs the seven folio images as the point of departure to tell the tale of a seeker and a search.

The Tales of Enchantment have also served as the point of inspiration for the duo composition for baroque violin and bass by the same name created by Swiss composer Barry Guy and for the monograph La Question, a prose poem text created by French author Varinia Oberto.

Of the edition of fourteen, eleven now find their homes in a variety of collections and destinations around the world.
